Relay for Life moved back to Courthouse

Copiah County’s Relay for Life has moved back to it’s original location- Hazlehurst Courthouse. Cancer survivors and residents of Copiah County will set up tents and walk the square around the courthouse on May 6, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
“Relay for Life represents our hope that those lost to cancer will not be forgotten, that those who are battling cancer will be supported and that one day cancer will be eliminated. Relay for life is a fun team event that raises awareness of cancer in the community and much needed funds to fight cancer. Throughout the evening the community will enjoy entertainment, food, fun and camaraderie,” stated Jamie Jones
For more information on starting a team, please contact Jamie Jones at 601-941-1810.
“Everyone is asked to come join in the fun and support our local cancer survivors in this day to celebrate, remember, and fight back. All cancer survivors are invited to the free survivor reception and allow yourself to be recognized and honored by your neighbors,” continued Jones

Survivor’s can call Deloris Harper at 601-892-1214 for more information.
