Police investigate auto burglaries

Police Chief Byron Swilley reports at least two auto burglaries in a Hazlehurst neighborhood, recently. One of the burglaries occurred  at 322 Asbury Drive and the other at 239 Pinehurst Circle.
The suspects broke a window in one of the vehicles and took several valuables left by the owner.  In the other, the doors were believed to have been left unlocked.
“Everyone needs to lock their car or truck doors each time they leave the vehicle,” Swilley urged.  Contact police if you notice anyone suspicious in your neighborhood, as well, he said.
Both burglaries are being investigated.  “We’ll catch them eventually,” Swilley said.  Anyone with information regarding these two crimes is encouraged to contact Swilley at 601-894-1181.
