Ferguson recognized by Copiah supervisors

The Board of Supervisors on Friday recognized young resident Rustin Ferguson for landing a position on the Mississippi State high school rodeo team.
Son of Rusty and Teresa Ferguson and an 11th grade homeschooled student of Crystal Springs,  Rustin will be competing with fellow teammates at Gillette, Wyoming from July 17-23 in the 63rd Annual National High School Finals Rodeo team roping competition. Featuring over 1,500 contestants from 41 states, Canada and Australia, the National High School Finals is the world’s largest rodeo. In addition to competing for over $200,000 in prizes, contestants also compete for more than $350,000 in college scholarships and the chance to be named the National High School Rodeo National Champion. A wide variety of other events are planned to interest the competitors during the rodeo.
