Gridiron Gus picks Week 3 Winners
Gus ready for college football
Well here it goes. Two weeks of watching the pups play onthe high school level has everyone foaming at the mouth to see the SEC, SWAC, and Conference USA kick off. It should be an interesting season nonetheless with lots of excitement.
The Ole Miss Rebels have a quarterback issue to solve early in the season. Every Rebel fan has a taste on their lips about transfer quarterbacks and they are lying if they say they are not nervous. Ole Miss finishes 6-6 and goes bowling this year. Just no Egg Bowl.
The 21st ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs will step back to 7-5 this year and go bowling as well. When has anyone been able to say dropping Florida off your schedule and picking up South Carolina is a bad thing? The Bulldogs need Relf and the defense to step up in a schedule that is brutal.
The Golden Eagles could not tackle their shadows last year. Hopefully, the Golden Eagles have worked hard on defense after a dismal campaign last year. Coach Larry Fedora may find his seat getting a little warm if he doesn’t get it figurd out. Gus feels they do and 7-5 is in sight with a bowl other than New Orleans in sight.
Whatever your choice of college…we can all agree…it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
