Winnie “Winki” Meese

Winnie Meese, 74, of Wesson, died at home on Thursday, Nov. 17,  2011.

She was the former owner of Winki’s Greenhouses and formally Winnie Windham of Crystal Springs.

At her request, there was no formal funeral service.  Family and close friends will gather on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the family home place for a private memorial for Winnie. 

Mrs. Meese was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Carrie Windham of Crystal Springs and her husband of 56 years, Glen Allen Meese. 

Suvivors include: her children, Glenda Jo (Jo Jo) Meese of Wesson, Theresa Meese of Brandon, and Glen Allen (Beau) Meese and his wife Shelly of Wesson;  sisters Joyce Shorter of Brandon, Phyllis Greer of Pelahatchie, Mary Ann Jeffreys of Wesson; brother Phillip Rogers of Brandon and brother-in-law Larry Meese of Fairhope, Al; and grandchildren, Perry (Dug) Foster, Samantha Meese Stevens, Elizabeth Meese, Katelyn Meese and Caleb Trest.
