Clissie B. Lamb
Clissie B. Papizan Lamb, 84, of Crystal Springs, died at Copiah Living Center in Crystal Springs, Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011.
There will be a graveside service at 11am on Friday, Dec. 9, at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery on Utica Road in Crystal Springs. Stringer Family Funeral services in Crystal Springs in handling arrangements.
She was born June 10, 1927, to Oscar and Clara Stanley Papizan in Crystal Springs She grew up working on a farm with her parents and siblings. At the young age of 18, she married the love of her life Oscar Y. (Shorty) Lamb. In fact, they were married on her 18th birthday, June 10, 1945. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2010. She loved music and followed her husband who was a long-time member of the “Lamb” Band that provided music on weekends in various places in Mississippi.
Other than her parents and husband, Clissie was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are numerous nieces and nephews who loved Aunt Clissie very much. She always greeted everyone with a big smile and was very appreciative of all the assistance she received from relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs, MS.
