Three Cobras named to MHSAA Div.-6 all state soccer team
Several of the Wesson Cobras soccer team members were recently named to the MHSAA Division 6 (District 7-1A/2A/3A) All-District team and also named as Most Valuable Players for their positions. For the boys team Cullen Greer and Ryan Spear were named to the all-district team. Austin Graham was named most valuable offensive player, Brandon Nettles was named most valuable forward, and Jacob Tarver was name most valuable keeper. The Cobras ended their season 5-5-1 overall and 3-3 in the district.
The Lady Cobras ended their season 5-6 overall and 1-5 in the district. Several of the players were recognized for their individual efforts. Jordan Nettles was named most valuable offensive player, Lindsey Day was name most valuable defensive player, and Vanesha Harris was named most valuable forward. The Lady Cobras that were named to the all-district team were seniors Daisey Martinez, Jordan Nettles, and Shelby Strong.
