Wolfpack golfers earn second place in tourney

BROOKHAVEN – The Co-Lin Wolfpack captured second place in the MACJC Event No. 3 hosted by the Wolfpack at Wolf Hollow Golf Club and Brookhaven Country Club. Co-Lin, who trailed Northwest Mississippi by three strokes after the first round, shot a final round 298 for a two-day total of 597. Mississippi Gulf Coast shot a 580 to take first place.
Individually, Gulf Coast’s Drew Seals was low medalist for the second straight event shooting (70-71-141). Wolfpack freshman Hunter Hood of Wesson shot 147 (72-75) and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Other Wolfpack scores were Alex Clark (74-75 – 149), Bull Mixon (76-76 – 152), Keaton Stamps (77-77 – 154) and Justin Danise (82-72 – 154).
Joining Hood on the All-Tournament Team are Jared Smith of Gulf Coast (66-78 – 144), Marcus Fox of Gulf Coast (78-68 – 146), Cameron Thomas of Northwest (146), and Lee McDill of East Central (147).
Co-Lin will play in the MACJC Event No. 4 hosted by East Mississippi on March 25-26 at the Mississippi State University Golf Course in Starkville.
