Miss Copiah County pageant scheduled for May 5
The Miss Magnolia State Pageant System is now accepting applications for the Miss Copiah County Preliminary Pageant to be held on Saturday, May 5, at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Copiah Lincoln Community College Campus in Wesson. Contestants may register as late as the day of the pageant competition.
There are a total of 13 different age groups at the pageant. They include the 0-15 month division, 16-23 months, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17, 18 and up and Mrs. division and for boys 0-2 years, 3-5, 6-11. There is no interview, swimsuit or talent competition. Also pageant dresses are not allowed for ages 0-11. Contestants age 12 and up will wear pageant dresses.
The junior winner and the teen winner will represent her area at the Junior Miss and Miss Teen Magnolia State Pageant and the Miss winner will represent her area at the Miss Magnolia State Pageant and the Mrs. winner will represent her area at the Mrs. Magnolia State Pageant in Vicksburg.
These winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship/savings bond at the state pageant and a cruise. Younger winners ages 0-11 will represent their area at the Little Miss and Mr. Magnolia State Pageant in Vicksburg on July 28-29, 2012. These winners each receive a $1,000 savings bond.
