MARIE BRENT DONAHOE of Crystal Springs, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Copiah Living Center, Crystal Springs. 

Services will be Saturday, May 5th at 3:00 p.m. at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church with visitation 1:00-3:00 prior to the service at the church.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vision to Grow, Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.  Pallbearers are:  Brett Smith, Blake Smith, Brad Donahoe, John Thomas Bell, Judson Jackson, Dickie Knight.   Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Marie was born on May 12, 1926 in Gallman,  the daughter of Roche & Vera Brent.  She graduated from Gallman High School and soon thereafter married James Carl Donahoe, Sr.  They resided in Crystal Springs where they raised their three children, Carla, Buddy, and Caren.  She was a long-time member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and a loyal member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death: husband, Carl Donahoe; Parents, Roche & Vera Brent; brother, Walter Lee Brent; and grandson, William Luke Donahoe.

Survivors:  Children, Carla Smelko, Fort Worth, TX; Buddy Donahoe and wife, Jackie and Caren Bell and husband, Tommy, of Crystal Springs, MS.  Grandchildren: Brian Bozeman, Jackson, MS; Brett Smith and wife Stacey, Valdosta, GA; Blake Smith and wife, Lisa and Brad Donahoe, Crystal Springs, MS; Emilee Epperson and husband, Adam, Clinton, MS; John Thomas Bell, Crystal Springs, MS; Four Great-Grandchildren:  Adilyn & Karlee Smith; Elizabeth Anne Epperson; Madoxx Bailey.
