Faye Jordan
Faye Gandy Jordan, 77, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 17, from 11am-1pm at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Funeral Services will be 1pm Friday in the funeral chapel with burial in the Hazlehurst Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Faye was a native of Hazlehurst born on December 3, 1934. She was a member of First Baptist Church Hazlehurst. She worked as a custodian at Copiah Academy for 30 years where she was dearly loved by all of the students, faculty, and staff.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles R. Jordan; grandson, Charlie J. Nunnery; her parents, Luther and Louise Gandy; and her sister, Mildred Gandy Hood.
Survivors include: daughter, Lucretia Nunnery and husband, Mike, of Hazlehurst; sons, Robin Jordan and wife, Edie of Clinton, Jimmy Jordan and wife, Rita of Hazlehurst, and Kevin Jordan and wife, Tammy of Wesson. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Faye’s memory may be made to First Baptist Church Hazlehurst or the Copiah Educational Foundation, Gallman, MS.
