Indians-Panthers moved to Saturday

The football game that was to be played at Hazlehurst tomorrow night has been moved, thanks to TS Isaac’s impact on the area.
Indian head coach said this evening that he and Brookhaven coach Tommy Clopton and officials from both schools looked at “everything from Friday night through Saturday night” before agreeing to a 2:30 p.m. kickoff at McDaniel Field in Hazlehurst on Saturday.  The game was originally scheduled for 7:30 on Friday night.
All other local high school games are staying put.  Copiah Academy entertains Central Hinds for homecoming with a 7:00 p.m. Friday night kickoff.  Wesson travels to Mize and Crystal Springs is at Richland with both games being 7:30 p.m. starts on Friday.
Other athletic activities have been cancelled or post-poned in the wake of Isaac, including JV and 7th grade football games at Copiah that were scheduled to be played tonight.  A make-up date for that district contest has not been announced.
