FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUND-UP: Indians win; Tigers, Colonels lose

The Hazlehurst Indians remained undefeated, improving to 5-0, after picking up a road win at East Marion on Friday night, 26-8.  Running back Aaron Larry scored twice and senior Copiah Super 7 member Demetrius Cain rushed for a TD and scored on an interception return.

The Tigers of Crystal Springs fell to 4-2 after dropping a 20-13 decision to Rosa Fort in Crystal Springs.  And, Copiah Academy fell to 0-5 after losing to Presbyterian Christian 42-12 in Gallman on Friday night.  Wesson, 3-2, was idle.

All teams are back in action this Friday with conference games.  Copiah hosts Starkville in MAIS AAA-Div II action.  Hazlehurst is at Prentiss in Region 7-3A.  Wesson hosts Amite County for Homecoming in Region 6-2A.  Crystal Springs is at Jefferson County, also in Region 7-3A.
