Street closures during Rockin’ Railroad anounced

At right is a map of the festival area as drawn and submitted by Rockin’ Railroad Festival chair John Huntington.  Of note, as per allowance by the City of Hazlehurst, Gallatin Street from Caldwell Drive to the railroad bridge will be closed starting at 8 a.m., as the kid zone will be located on the eastern end of Gallatin at the Ragsdale Avenue junction.
Ragsdale Avenue will be closed from the railroad crossing on the north end up to just past the Copiah County Courier office on the south end.
The Copiah County Farmers’ Market will relocate to the grassy area north of the pavilion for this Saturday only.
Hazlehurst Police Department officers will be highly visible in and around the festival area.  Parking is available across the tracks, on Caldwell Drive, Robert McDaniel Drive, around the Courthouse and on Green Street west of Caldwell Drive.  Visitors are asked not to park in front open businesses unless they are planning to shop in these businesses.
