Jack Johnson

Funeral services for Mr. Jack Johnson, a Natchez resident, will be held on Friday at in the 26 October at 11:00 a.m.in the Murray Temple Church of God In Christ with the Elder George Marshall and Elijah Lewis officiating; interment shall follow in the National Military Cemetery in Natchez with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home of Natchez in charge.There will be a visitation held  from 5 to 7 p.m. in Murray Temple Church of God In Christ on Thursday the 25th October.


Mr. Johnson passed away on Monday the 15th October in the Promise Hospital in Videlia , LA following a lengthy illness.  He was 87.  Mr. Johnson was a retired electrician and veteran of the U. S. Army during WWII.  He was a member of the Church of God In Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt with his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Louvenia Johnson, his sons, Parnon L. Johnson, and Deman R. Johnson, his brothers Elloit Johnson, James B. Johnson, and Ezell Johnson, his sisters Janie Johnson, Marie Johnson, Katie Johnson, Liza Johnson, Erma Johnson, Leola Johnson, and Marie Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Jessie J. Johnson of Natchez, his sons, Paul K. Johnson and Glen N. Johnson both of Natchez, MS, his daughters Veronica E. Carter of Zachary, LA, Jacqueline E. Johnson of Natchez, MS and Gail E. McIntyre of Hawthorne , CA, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
