Wesson Rebel Riders headed to Dixie National

Several dozen horse-drawn wagons and their riders, along with horseback riders, began their annual journey north to the Dixie National Rodeo on Saturday.  The group, known as the Wesson Rebel Riders, got started on Case Road north of Wesson at the Hutson place and is wound its way through Copiah County over the weekend and reached Hinds County early in the week.
The group has made the annual track for years, joining others from around the state, to meet in Jackson at the parade that will kick off the Dixie National Rodeo later this week.
