Elvis Entertains

The B.A.L.L. Club of Mt Zion Baptist Church met on Feb. 13 for an evening dinner with live entertainment.
The President Dorsie McKnight welcomed the members and their guests.
She reminded them February is American Heart Month and encouraged them to live a healthy lifestyle. She reported that the B.A.L.L. Club officers cancelled the March meeting to provide everyone an opportunity to go on the Mission Trip Bro. DeGeorge has planned for March 11 to 15 and of the D-NOW conference for the Youth starting February 22 to 24, also WMU’s church wide Baby Shower for the Pregnancy Crisis Center in South Louisiana and our preparing the Care Packages for the soldiers in Afghanistan.
The members who have February birthdays and anniversaries were recognized and each was wished a happy day.
The people in our church family, friends, neighbors and family members who are having health or other difficulties were remembered in prayer by Doc Entrican and he said our blessing for our dinner.
We applauded the team who had planned and prepared for the evening, by decorating with fresh flowers of red, pink, and white for the tables, and a delicious menu for a sit-down dinner. Thanks to Judy and Phillip Case, Patricia and Randall Lofton, Susan Easterling and Donna Cunningham.
The star for the evening was none other than Elvis Presley as presented by Bro. Timothy Allred from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He sang the gospel songs we all remembered Elvis performing.
