Sallie Wade
Sallie Jackson Wade, 103, of Crystal Springs, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Copiah Living Center.
Visitation will be 1pm-2pm Friday at Springs of Praise. Services will be 2pm Friday at Springs of Praise with burial at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Wade was born June 27, 1909. She was a native Copiah County. She was the wife of the late Lee Wade for 68 years. Mrs. Wade was an employee of Bernstein Shirt Corporation for 30 years. She was a member of American Bible Society, Bible-a-month club since 1964 and was a regular visitor to the Pine Crest Nursing Home for many years.
Mrs. Wade was an active member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years serving as Bible Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Altar Worker and Secretary and Treasurer for many years. She transferred her membership to Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Jackson. There she served as Sunday School Teacher, Altar Worker and Secretary and Treasurer of the Church. She believed the Bible is a Road Map to live by and to honor God. She has been Pentecostal Holiness since 1936.
