Campbell guest speaker at Fifty Plus
David Campbell, Director of the Copiah-Lincoln Foundation, will be the guest speaker at the May 16th meeting of the Fifty-Plus Club at the Western Sizzlin’ in Brookhaven. He will share his experiences with writing and read some of his fiction. Mr. Campbell is from Franklin County. His career has included newspapers, rural electrification, and education.
As a writer, his work has appeared in such publications as Mississippi Magazine, Bluffs and Bayous and in the book Stories from the Blue Moon Café IV, a collection of short stories from across the South. A book collection of Franklin Advocate newspaper columns appearing as “South by Southwest” was published in 2009 as Barefooted and Southern. He received his education at Co-Lin and the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in mass communications.
The club will meet in Brookhaven at Western Sizzling. The meeting begins at 10:45. Come early, bring a friend, and enjoy fellowship and coffee with members and guests.
