Betty Bozeman
Betty Bozeman, 75, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at her home.
Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Tuesday and 10am-11am Wednesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 11am Wednesday at Stringer Family Chapel with interment at Hazlehurst Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Bozeman was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of Vota Vita Sunday school class and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carl Stephens Bozeman.
She is survived by son, Carl Stephens Bozeman, Jr. and wife Becky of Hazlehurst; daughter, Vicki Bozeman Gaddy and husband Herschell of Brookhaven; son, Jeffrey Neal Bozeman and wife Lynn of Brookhaven; daughter, Kimberly Bozeman Hood and husband Jerry of Wesson; brother, Dean Higdon of Hattiesburg; and grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Gaddy, Carl Stephen Bozeman, Jerry Warren Hood, Jr., Joshua Bozeman Hood, Jeffrey Neal Bozeman, Jr., Kathryn Allen Gaddy, Rebecca Grace Bozeman, William Hunter Hood, Christopher Peyton Hood, Jacob Tisdale Bozeman, Abby Wilson Bozeman, Meredith Jewell Bozeman, and Rachel Ann Bozeman.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Hazlehurst, Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital or Baptist Children’s Village.
