Lady Colonels qualify for state

The Copiah Academy fastpitch softball team won both games last week to finish the regular season with a 26-3 record. But the MAIS AAA South State Tournament was rained out Saturday, forcing the Lady Colonels to wait until Monday and Tuesday of this week. According to CA head coach Terry Bauer, a win this past Monday guarantees his team advancing to the State Tournament, which is scheduled to begin this Saturday in Pearl.
