CSHS drops last minute heartbreaker

A recurring sketch from the comedy show Hee Haw has Roy Clark and friends singing a song including the line, “If it weren’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all.” The Tigers and their fans can identify with that.

Five losses for CSHS this season have involved hard luck, fourth quarter downfalls. This week the hammer fell with only 43 seconds left to play.

Trailing 22 – 12 with 3:46 left in the game, Tiger quarterback Jeriko Morris engineered a scoring drive that he capped with a touchdown run with 1:46 left on the clock. A perfect pass to Octavian Bingham for a two-point conversion cut the Jefferson County lead to 22 – 20.
