Martha Youngblood

Martha Diane Freemyer Youngblood, 61, of Crystal Springs, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, with visitation from 10 a.m. until noon with services held at noon at First Presbyterian Church, E. Marion Ave., in Crystal Springs.

Mrs. Youngblood was born Dec. 17, 1951 to Alvin and Evelyn Freemyer in Liberty. She was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in May of 2013. She was known by many in Crystal Springs recently for her work at Copiah Animal Hospital.

Preceding her in death were: her father, Alvin Fred Freemyer; brother, Alvin Leon Freemyer; nephew, Jessie Allen Freemyer; and great nephew, Scott Shipp. Also preceding her were her mother-in-law, Edith Slay Youngblood; and brother -in-law, Don Youngblood.

Survivors include: husband, Jerry Youngblood;  sons, Cody Bridwell of Brookhaven, Steven Bridwell and wife, Holly, of Brandon, and Jeff Youngblood and wife Kim, also of Brandon; mother, Evelyn Duck Freemyer of Liberty; sisters, Dorothy White of Centreville and Mary James and husband Danny of Liberty; brothers, Bud Freemyer and wife Carlene of Slaughter, LA, and Fred Freemyer of Ethel, LA, Billy Freemyer of Liberty, and James Freemyer and wife Jeri of Centreville; grandchildren, Jessica Douglas of San Antonio, TX, Erica Bridwell of Brookhaven, Heather Bridwell of Wesson, Cody Bridwell, Jr. of Brookhaven, Zach and Abby Bridwell of Brandon, and Rachel Franklin and Mason Youngblood of Brandon; and great grandson, Bentley Douglas of San Antonio, TX; and her 4-legged children, Hoover and Indy Magee.
