CA third grade wins Summer Collection Contest

Copiah Academy’s Summer Collection Contest was a huge success! Each year the amount collected increases!  The earnings from the items collected help make improvement to our school for our students and teachers.  It is amazing how fast ten cent Box Tops add up to hundreds of dollars.
Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, Community Coffee, Tyson A+ labels and Funding Factory Recycling are all programs designed to help schools.  It is hard to go shopping without picking up an item that helps our collection program.  It is an excellent opportunity as a patron of Copiah Academy to clip, cut, rip and save the labels, box tops, upc’s, cartridges and old cell phones.  Each item makes a difference.
BTFE.com and labelsforeducation.com are bending over backwards to give us money and merchandise.  Go on line to both of these web sites to register as a member plus register your Kroger loyalty  card number.  We receive credit when you check out at the store plus credit when you clip the box top or UPC.  Double points!!!  How easy is that?!?  If you become a member on their web site you will receive bonus offers and coupons.  A school in Colorado won a Box Top for Education sweepstake for $75,000.  It only takes one person to make a difference.
The long standing champions of the Summer Collection Contest remain undefeated!  The third grade class of Copiah Academy were the over all winners again!  Mrs. McCormick, Mrs. Roberson, MS Hite and Mrs. Swain have done an excellent job of motivating and including the community to not only win but win by thousands of items.  Thank you for your hard work.  The other winners included 6th grade, 1st grade and 5 year old kindergarten.  Congratulations!
So what’s next?  In January grades 7-12th grades will compete to earn five points on a test grade for each subject.  Keep saving!!
An urgent request for any Labels for Education UPC’s by December 15, 2013 is being made!  We can get double points for UPC’s turned in by December 15th.  Write the grade you would like to support 7-12th and send them to Copiah Academy.  Campbell Soup, Emerald Nuts, Bic, Swanson, Pace, Pepperidge Farm, V8, Post cereal, Spaghettio’s, Pop Secret, Wolf Gang Puck, Glad, Prego’s & Dananimals are all participating products. Please clip these UPC’s.
At this time Copiah is ranked #2 in our area an #8 in the state for Box Tops for Education earnings.  What would it take to be #1? Community involvement! Thank you for all of your support.  If you have any questions please contact Amy Brunt, 601-506-0643
