Joy Little Harris
Joy Little Harris, 88, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, April 28, 2014.
Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Thursday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 2pm Thursday at Stringer Family Chapel with interment at Hazlehurst Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Harris was a lifelong resident of Copiah County and worked at the Copiah County Courier for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, for over 50 years.
Survivors include: daughter Jonelle Harris Sims and husband Danny; grandsons Stephen Sims and wife Rachel, and Daniel Sims and wife Mary Kathleen; great-grandchildren Harper Sims and Wailes Sims; nephew, Tom Thomas and wife Pam; Best Friend Patsy Hayden; and Faithful Companion Sandy Cat.
Mrs. Harris’ daughter would especially like to thank the caregivers and staff at Copiah Living Center and Dr. James Ervin for the wonderful care provided over the past four months of Mrs. Harris’ life.
