Lucas “Luke” Donald Newman, 18, of Sontag, died Friday, May 2, 2014.
Visitation will be 3pm-5pm Tuesday with services at 5pm at Smyrna Baptist Church. Interment will be at Smyrna Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
He was a native of Hazlehurst and had lived in Sontag for the past 13 years. He was a senior at Lawrence High School. He liked basketball and skate boarding.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Newman, and his maternal grandparents, Carey and Betty Bolls.
He is survived by mother, Lisa and Ernie Munn of Sontag; brothers, Nicholas Newman (Samantha) of Madison and Zackery Newman of Sontag; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Forrest (Jo Ann) Newman of Hazlehurst; step-grandparents, Ernest and Johnnie Munn of Wesson; 13 cousins, 5 uncles, one aunt and their respective spouses.
