Search ends for HCSD head

The Hazlehurst City School Board contracted with the Mississippi School Boards  Association, MSBA, to conduct a search for the superintendent of the  Hazlehurst City School District.

Thirteen applicants completed applications for the position. One withdrew to accept another position. Among the applicants are a superintendent, two deputy superintendents, five school principals, two administrators, a district federal programs and curriculum director, and a reading and math instructor. Two of the applicants have doctorate degrees. There are three female applicants and nine male applicants.
