City notified of harassment charge
The City of Hazlehurst has confirmed that an employee in the Water Department has filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against another city employee alleging sexual harassment. The city received a letter dated June 17 that Susan S. Edwards, under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, is alleging sexual harassment by a superior that occurred between June 2, 2010 through May 30, 2014.
