Roberta M. Fell

Miss Roberta M. Fell, 89, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2014 at Hardy Wilson Hospital.

Interment was held Monday at Hazlehurst City Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Savannah, GA, on Feb. 20, 1925 and raised in Pensacola, FL.  She became an RN in 1946, and received her degree in Anesthesia in 1955 after working as an office nurse and civil service nurse at the Naval hospital in Pensacola, while also serving as a US Naval Nurse in Philadelphia, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fell of Pensacola, FL, sister, Annie Wilson, and brothers, Jack (Laura) and Billy. 

She leaves several nieces and nephews.  She also enjoyed many years with her loving family of Mary and Paul Reed, Rush, Cindy, Jon, Paul, and Ben.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund or Children’s Ministry at United Methodist Church in Hazlehurst, MS.
