John Odom

John Odom, 93, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. 

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Wednesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.  Services will be 2pm Thursday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Georgetown Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

 

Mr. Odom was a native of Rockport.  He was a retired auto mechanic. 

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Beasley Odom and a daughter, Johnnie Middleton.

 

He is survived by sons, Randy Odom of Jackson and Ricky Odom of Wesson; daughters, Betty Womack of Wesson, Elaine Bland of Hazlehurst and Barbara Rutland of Monticello; brother, Kenneth Odom of Crystal Springs; sister, Vera Mae Beasley of Tyler, TX; 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
