Cherokee Rose receives Presidential Proclamation

In recognition of its participation as a member of the Viet Nam Commemorative Partners, Cherokee Rose Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, has received a Presidential Proclamation which sets forth the goals of the Partners program and recognizes the efforts of participants.

During this 50th anniversary of the beginning of the war in Viet Nam, Cherokee Rose has sponsored projects to honor veterans of that war. Through newspaper articles, speakers, Veterans’ Day activities, presentation of certificates to veterans, party honoring veterans at Pine Crest Guest Home, Patriots Luncheon, flag dedications, and the like, local Viet Nam veterans have been recognized. It is the desire of the chapter to bring as much attention as possible to the brave men and women who served in the war and to tell them at every opportunity how much we appreciate their service.
