‘Chat with the Chiefs’ invaluable to law enforcement, citizens

If engaging the public honestly and openly and providing the citizens with a clear look at how your agency operates are two traits of good leaders of public departments, then Hazlehurst is home to some of the best.

Hazlehurst Police Chief Byron Swilley, along with Fire Chief Chris Pendleton, are joined by members of their management teams in meeting with the public once a month during ‘Chat with the Chiefs’ (see page 1A).  No stone is left unturned as they engage the citizens who attend the informal meetings, held at the police department on the third Thursday of each month.  Questions are answered directly. Chief Swilley sees to it.

Mark your calendar and attend the next one on February 19.  You’ll be impressed and more informed about what’s going on in your neighborhoods.
