Funds still needed for heart disease cure

DOOMED to complete bed rest–or worse! This is what people with heart disease could look forward to not so very long ago. A handful of pioneering physicians and social workers believed it did not have to be that way. They conducted studies to learn more about heart disease, eventually leading to the founding of the American Heart Association in 1924.
