Johnnie Mae Morgan Kelly
Mrs. Johnnie M. Kelly of Crystal Springs, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Visitation will be 10am-11am Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 11 am Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Gatesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Kelly loved working in her yard and beautiful flowers. She loved watching the birds and often would remark that if she could come back after death she wanted to be a bird. She was a faithful member of Grace Bible Missions Church and loved her church family. After the fire that destroyed their church she opened her home so they could continue to worship.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Addie Claire Phillips Morgan, her husband, Bracie L. Kelly and son Kenneth Ray Kelly, brothers, Vollie, Percy, Arlie and H. L. Morgan, sisters, Gladys Harris Jones, Leona Howell Hocutt and Katherine Griffith Hawkins.
She is survived by sons, Thomas E. Kelly and C. Richard Kelly of Rolling Fork; daughters, Joan Dear (Bob) and Billie R. Sullivan of Crystal Springs; sisters, Minnie L. Hydrick of Crystal Springs; daughter-in-law, Cupid Kelly of Sarepta, LA; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She had two special friends that called her almost every day to check on her: Mrs. Lois Phillips of Crystal Springs and Mrs. Oleita Stewart of Rolling Fork.
