Relay for Life Week proclaimed by Supervisors

RELAY FOR LIFE PROCLAMATION – The Copiah County Board of Supervisors signed a proclamation in support of Relay For Life proclaiming April 27 – May 1 as RELAY FOR LIFE WEEK and May 1 as HOPE DAY in Copiah County. Relay For Life of Copiah County will be held on Friday, May 1 at the Hazlehurst High School Football Field. Relay For Life Week was proclaimed as April 27 through May 1, ahead of the annual Copiah County Relay, the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event.

The proclamation also declared May 1 as Hope Day. The Copiah Relay will be held on that date at Hazlehurst High School. Events will begin with registration at 5:30, the survivors reception at 6, opening ceremony at 7, luminaria ceremony at 9, and awards presented at 10.
