Williams receives nursing degree

Shaquita Danyeil Williams, daughter of Ethel and Arthur Williams, and a native of Hazlehurst, received her Associates degree in nursing from Alcorn State University May 9.

She is a 2007 graduate of Hazlehurst High School and furthered her education at Millsaps College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

Miss Williams plans to stay in Mississippi for a year and become a travel nurse. She will continue her education pursuing a Bachelors degree in nursing and earning a Masters degree to become a nurse practitioner.
