The Wesson Cobras hosted the McLaurin Tigers Friday night for their season opener. After leading the scoreboard, the Cobras lost the game in the last 5 minutes with a final score of 7-6. “Penalties and turnovers really hurt us,” said Cobra coach Ronald Greer. “We had several missed opportunities to score in the red zone. We must correct our mistakes and get better every week.”
