We need your help

With the 150th birthday celebration of the City of Hazlehurst coming up, the Courier will be putting a special issue together to commemorate it.  The focus of the issue will not be so much on the distant past.  Mainly, we will be covering the last 25 years or so, since the On Track 125 celebration and special publication in 1990.

That’s where you come in.  If you have something special you want included, please get it to us–photos, stories, people of the past, people of the present, anything that is about Hazlehurst.  Our staff is limited right now, and we welcome any input that you can provide.  In fact, we encourage your participation.

We certainly are looking forward to the town’s sesqui-centennial and are happy to be the ‘Official Organ of Copiah County Since 1884’.  Of course, we’ll have our own update included in the issue.  Hazlehurst has a truly unique past that has value in our present.  Let’s honor that past properly and join in and enjoy the celebration that is to come in early November.
