Grady Stegall
William Grady Stegall, Sr. 87, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Tuesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 11 am Wednesday at Stringer Chapel with internment at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery
Mr. Stegall served in the US Navy from 1949-1969 as an Anti Submarine Rocket gunners mate on destroyers. After retiring from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer he came home to Hazlehurst and worked at Royal Maid as a maintenance technician. A founding member of the Smyrna Volunteer Fire Dept, he served as Treasurer and Fire Chief.
Grady is survived by his wife Emma, daughter Marsha Stegall Ullendorf, son William Grady Stegall Jr. and wife Beverly, daughter Susan Twiner Ketzel and husband John, grandchildren Monica Moran, Jason Twiner, and Cassie Carden, and great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Jake, Justin, Shelby, Caysen, Ethan and Tinsley
