Cherokee Rose honors veterans

November is the month to remember and honor veterans, and Cherokee Rose Chapter, NSDAR members join Pine Crest Guest Home in sponsoring an annual party for the veteran residents at this facility.  The event was held Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Pine Crest Guest Home. The veterans’ families were present, along with other Pine Crest residents. Each veteran was recognized and thanked for his service. 

DAR members and guests enjoyed visiting with the honorees and their families and learning about their service.  DAR members presented gift bags to all, and Pine Crest Guest Home provided refreshments and decorations.  Pine Crest currently has eight veteran residents: Julian Curtis, US Army and Navy; Jerry Haddock, US Air Force; Edwin Keith, US Army; Frank Davis, US Army; Joseph Grisba, US Army; William Joiner, US Air Force; Marcus Meadows, US Air Force; Edwin Singleton, US Navy.
