Dr. King breakfast Monday

The Hazlehurst Branch N.A.A.C.P. is celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday by sponsoring a free to the public commemoration breakfast on Monday, Jan. 18, at 9:00 a.m. in the Greater Damascus Outreach Center located at 160 West Gallatin Street, Hazlehurst.
The guest speaker for the 11th Annual event will be Demond Radcliff. Mr. Radcliff is a 1993 graduate of Hazlehurst High School, continuing his education by receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of South Carolina, Master of Science and Human Resource Management degree from Troy State University, Education Specialist and Educational Leadership degree from Augusta State University and presently completing a Doctorate of Philosophy, Adult Learning degree at Walden University.

Mr. Radcliff is an accomplished Education Specialist with 15 years of education experience throughout the State of Mississippi and is currently employed as a District Discipline Coordinator. Mr. Radcliff received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army after ranking as a Staff Sergeant and is an Iraqi Veteran. He worked in corporate business for two years.
Mr. Radcliff attends Grace Inspiration (Danny Hollins) in Jackson and is the father of three children.  

It is our hope that you will join us as we continue to uphold Dr. King’s great vision of a vibrant, multiracial nation united in justice, peace and reconciliation by attending our thought provoking program.

There will be a traditional march around the city beginning immediately after the program. Lineup will start at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Courthouse with the actual march beginning at 12 noon.
