Plenty of tickets are still available for two chamber banquets coming up next week.
The Old Wesson School will be the setting for the 2016 membership banquet of the Wesson Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, January 26. The event will begin at 6:30 that evening with a meal catered by Zion Hill youth. Former Co-Lin president Dr. Billy B. Thames is the guest speaker.
The Chamber will honor several high achievers with leadership awards, including those for Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Community Service, Ageless Hero and Educators of the Year for Wesson Attendance Center and Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
Tickets are available at Trustmark Bank in Wesson for $20.00
The Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual banquet on Thursday, January 28 at “Jackson Place” event building, 3177 Deaton Rd. beginning at 6 p.m. with a reception. Dress will be casual and the atmosphere informal. Entertainment will be provided by singer/songwriter Zach Day.
As in the past, awards and presentations will be given. The Chamber hopes that everyone will enjoy this new format for the banquet.
