Supervisors suspends action on fire department contracts Feb. 29
Board cites concerns about Crystal Springs VFD’s numerous failed responses to calls
Action on fire department contracts was suspended until the Board of Supervisors meeting on Feb. 29 amid concerns about the Crystal Springs Volunteer Fire Department’s ability to meet the terms of their contract because of the number of failed responses to calls in their service area and the fact that the county feels a need for a volunteer department in northwest Copiah which is said to be underserved. Fire rating issues were also discussed.
