Ideas for old hotel endless

I was unable to attend the community meeting concerning the use of the ‘new’ Millsaps Hotel last week because of an earlier commitment.  By all accounts, the Calling Panther Heritage Foundation leadership committee held a good meeting with a solid cross-section of interested individuals from all over the Hazlehurst area.  Lots of great ideas for how to utilize the new facility once completed were verbalized and discussed.

Whichever the direction the facility is taken,  the area would be best served by transforming it into an attraction that would be most useful to and accessible by local residents.  Then, market it  from there to attract tourists, passers-by, visitors to downtown and so forth.  Hazlehurstians must buy into it before anyone else can.
