Fifty-Plus craft show to be held July 21, Thames Center

Get ready for the first Fifty-Plus Craft Show on Thursday, July 21, at the Thames Center on the Co-Lin campus. Club members will be displaying treasures they have designed, made, and collected.

Lavera Courtney of Crystal Springs will display quilts she has designed and made. Ron Evans also of Crystal Springs will share some of the wood creations he has made. Another Crystal Springs member, Mary Lou Neal, will show us wood crafts she and her son have made.

Bob Holland of Brookhaven will display a selection of his “collection.” Since he has an entire building in his backyard filled with his collection, we are in for a special treat. His wife June will share with the group what it is like to keep the collections in order.

Josie Summers from Bogue Chitto will share art projects with the club. Julia Arnold of Wesson  will display some of her collection of her late father’s (Tom Morrissey) wood working. He was a long-time member of the club and served in many offices.

Other members who have crafts to share, please bring them.

The meeting begins at 10:30.
