Annie Marie White Williams McCain

Mrs. Annie Marie White Williams McCain, 85, of York, AL, went to rest in the arms of Christ on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence, MS. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at Briar Hill Baptist Church with a visitation one hour prior. Interment followed at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst, MS.

Mrs. McCain was born on November 9, 1930 to the late Eugene and Jeffie Lee Bailey White. She was raised in Hazlehurst, MS and graduated from Hazlehurst High School in 1948. Since then, she has lived in Jackson, MS; Meridian, MS; and York, AL.

Mrs. McCain dedicated years of her life to serving the Lord wherever she was and in any way that she could. She was a lifelong member of WMU and served as the director for Siloam Baptist Church for 15 years and in various other locations throughout Mississippi prior to that. In 2014 she received the Di’s Hope Woman of the Year Award.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Clinton Williams, Sr. and Edward McCain; parents; brothers, Daryl “Buddy” White and Bobby Eugene White.

Mrs. McCain is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Tullos (William), Carolyn Young (Malcolm), and Christel Davis. She is also survived by her children Keith Williams (Nelda), Deborah Afrakhteh, Donna Wright (Daniel), Clinton Williams, Jr. (Judy), and Darline Dansby (Tommy); 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
