Cobras win season opener

The Wesson Cobras traveled north to face the McLaurin Tigers this past Thursday night for a non-conference season opener. After an hour long rain delay, the game started in the drizzling rain but the Cobras came out on top with a win and final score of 14-12. “We are happy to get the win even though it was ugly in every way.” said Cobra head coach Jeremy Loy. “We are happy to get this win and we are 1-0. We will fix our mistakes and keep getting better. I am proud of the guys and how they gutted it out to the end to get the win.”
