Laura Cole

Laura Cole, 103, a long-time resident of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, passed away on September 17, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Hazlehurst.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 1:00 PM, at the Hazlehurst Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Highway 28 East. Interment will be at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora, Florida.
Mrs. Cole was born on June, 26, 1913, in Rome, New York, where she grew up on the family’s dairy farm. She moved with her husband and three children to Mount Dora, Florida, where she and her husband had two more children. They were all raised in Mount Dora. After her husband’s death she moved to Hazlehurst with her three adult daughters, where she lived 45 years. Mrs. Cole devoted her life to her family and her devotion to serving Jehovah God.
She is predeceased by her husband, Albert L. Cole; her daughter, Karen Marie Randall, and son-in-law, Eugene Randall; her granddaughter, Je’Neane Small; her parents, Erwin G. Poile and Mary Louise Cronk Poile; and her five sisters and one brother.
Mrs., Cole is survived by her sons, Glen Cole (wife Lorena) of Umatilla, Florida, and David Cole (wife Susan) of Apalachicola, Florida; her daughters, Carol Harrison (husband Vernice), and Laureen Vann (husband Terry), of Hazlehurst, Mississippi; and one brother, Erwin “Sonny” Poile, of Seneca, South Carola. Laura and Albert’s legacy consists of five children, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
