DAR ringing the bells

Saturday, Sept. 17, at 3 p.m., Cherokee Rose, NSDAR, members rang bells in recognition of  Constitution Week, September 17-23.  Genevieve Harris, Brenda Lewis, and Regent Judith Brewer were on hand to ring the “big bell” at First Baptist Church. Other members rang their bells at home. Members of the Constitutional Convention signed the final draft of the Constitution on September 17, 1787, and the patriotic daughters commemorate this every year.
