Fifty-Plus club announces schedule for the year

The Fifty-Plus Club has three informative, entertaining, and worthwhile programs planned for Oct. 13, Nov. 17, and Dec. 1.
Rev. Robbie Britt, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church, will present the program on Thursday, Oct. 13. He will share his love of music and his mission for the Lord.
On Nov. 17, Nancy Stringer Sullivan, retired principal of Wesson Elementary School, will share what she is doing in her retirement. Several months after her retirement, she became a flight attendant for American Airline.  She will tell about her visits to faraway places with strange sounding names. Perhaps she will challenge some recently retired club members to opt for a non-traditional retirement.
Ann McCain Jackson, Social Security specialist with the Social Security office in Brookhaven, will speak to the group about changes in Medicare for 2017. The “big book” came from Medicare recently and having her explain some of the changes will be most helpful.
All meetings begin in 10:30 in the Anderson Building on the Copiah-Lincoln Community College campus.
